Crate A Place

AIA SPP Small Project design competition asked to create a sense of place within the confines of a 10' x 10' x 10' space for the 2016 AIA National Convention in Philadelphia.

Crate A Place provides an attractive, multi-sensory environment for conference attendees to socialize, relax, enjoy, and contemplate. When the conference ends, the crates can be taken home or reused locally.

Explore & Recyle

Designed with common, recyclable materials, the installation invites to explore, see, taste, feel, smell, and connect. Attendees are asked to think what the next destination of the crates could be, and may take a crate home.
