Magtab Park

Turning waste-land into leisure park Magtab is Malta’s newest landscape; an imposing landform in a sensitive coastal setting visible from strategic points around Malta. The splendid isolation of the former landfill forms the ideal condition for the development of a new natural area. In keeping with the artificiality of the site, the design expresses the positivism of human intervention in the transformation of an industrial landscape. The design plays with notions of nature and culture, expressive and reticent form.
